In contemplating the next phase of in mobile devices I believe the large advancements will be made once the interface to the device is simplified via reliable and pervasive speech command. There is evidence of good quality hosted services such as Tell Me (now owned by MSFT). When this same functionality can be distilled down to a handheld wireless personal device client we may see a shift in the paradigm. 4G transport, in whatever flavor, may be a enabler to this opportunity.
